My Secret to Healthy Hair

Believe it or not, keeping your hair healthy doesn’t have to be complicated.

One thing I get asked about all the time is my hair. People are always asking how it stays so long, thick, and healthy, and honestly I give most of the credit to my routine. Over the years I’ve figured out what works best for my hair, and sticking to a consistent routine has made a huge difference.

One of the biggest things that helped my hair grow healthier is focusing on my scalp. I try to use the Golab Beauty scalp massage oil at least once a week. I massage it into my scalp and leave it in before washing my hair. It helps nourish the scalp and I find it makes my hair feel stronger and healthier overall.

Another product I swear by is the Olaplex oil. I use it on my ends almost every night. Just a small amount helps keep the ends hydrated and smooth, which is really important if you’re trying to maintain long hair.

A little bit of a hot take in my routine is that I actually don’t use conditioner. Instead, I only use hair masks in the shower. My favorite is a mask from Kérastase because it feels much more nourishing than a regular conditioner. I find masks leave my hair softer and healthier.

For shampoo, I swear by the Redken All Soft shampoo. It keeps my hair feeling clean without making it feel dry, which is something I struggled with using other shampoos.

When it comes to styling, protecting my hair from heat is really important. I always use the Moroccanoil heat protectant before using any hot tools. I used to be really scared of using heat on my hair because I thought it would damage it, but I’ve realized that as long as you’re protecting your hair properly it can still stay healthy.

Most of the time I like doing heatless curls, but when I do use heat I love using my Shark styling tool because it’s much gentler than some other tools I’ve tried.

There are also a couple small habits that make a big difference. I never brush my hair when it’s soaking wet because that’s when it’s most prone to breakage. I usually wait until it’s a bit drier before brushing it. I also try to sleep with a silk bonnet because it helps reduce friction and keeps my hair smoother overnight.

At the end of the day, my biggest secret is really just consistency. Taking care of your hair regularly and using products that work for you can make a huge difference over time.
